Beyonce: Did She Pull a Milli Vanilli?

The entire internet and media world has gone up in a frenzy! Why? Beyonce has been accused of lip syncing the National Anthem for President Obama on Monday. Reasons the nation is in such an uproar 1) Beyonce is currently the Best Entertainer on Earth (as crowned by her stans) 2) Kelly Clarkson sung "My Country Tis of Thee" LIVE 3) This is Beyonce, she is EXPECTED to be great.

Via Young, Black and Fabulous, Marine Corps spokesman Capt. Gregory Wolf told the Miami Herald that because there was no opportunity for Beyonce to rehearse with the Marine Band, a live performance by the band was ill advised. They chose a pre-recorded track for the band's portion of the song. He stated:



"Regarding Ms. Knowles-Carter's vocal performance, no one in the Marine Band is in a position to assess whether it was live or pre-recorded."

Here is what I think.

Beyonce was in the back rehearsing and either three things happen--

1) Her nerves got the best of her...everybody gets nervous. She's human.

2) The cold weather affected her vocal cords causing her not to be able to sing as well.

3) She sung it over the recording to make it sound very polished and strong.



At the end of the day, it really doesn't matter if she sung it or not. It will not discredit her massive experience in the industry or ruin her fan base. She will still be the "Queen B" and tomorrow will be okay. One thing I have noticed, Beyonce seems to have a lot of bad luck with singing at inaugurations. Last year, she pissed off Etta James. This year she pissed off America. We still love you Beyonce. You will always be a Maravilloso Performer in our eyes! 

Because of him, we have civil rights. Because of him we have freedom. Because of him we have equality. I wonder what the world would  be like if he was alive. Happy Birthday Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr!

Happy Mrs. Michelle Obama

Happy Birthday to the MOST classy woman in the public  arena! First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama is the epitome of sophistication, intelligence and inspiration! I am thankful that young women have such a STRONG example of what is means to be a great wife and mother. She is truly a Maravilloso role model! We hope her day was a great one!

Happy Birthday Aaliyah

I often wonder where the music industry would be if Aaliyah was alive today. She had such a beautiful voice and an angelic spirit. Being the same age, I remember riding home from high school listening to her songs. She was my favorite, still is, R&B lady! I am certain she is blessing the heavens with her beautiful angelic voice! R.I.P Aaliyah. I miss her sooooo much

Happy Birthday Steve Harvey!

For a man that always seems so cool and collected, I never thought I would see Steve Harvey cry. I listen to the Steve Harvey Morning Show EVERY morning. Mr. Harvey always seems to maintain his professional comedic demeanor.  However, today on his talk show, he received a wonderful surprise from his staff which made him break character.

We saw the real Steve Harvey when he was reunited with his old friend Rich List. Apparently, Rich gave Steve his first real chance and loaned him money. That money is what made Steve Harvey the man he is today. ​

Everyone deserves a chance. Today, we can tell Steve Harvey is grateful the opportunity in which they gave him! I understand his tears. Happy birthday Mr. Harvey! LOL!

Maravilloso Move- Oxygen CANCELS All my Baby Mommas Reality Show

After much criticism and public outcry, Oxygen decides to cancel the rapper, Shawty- Lo, reality show. The theme of the show centered around a rapper with children by 11 different woman, one is currently pregnant. The African American community felt that this show degraded their race and stereotyped them in a negative light. After several petitions, one reached 40,000 signatures, Oxygen Network caved and canceled the programming.
